Less cooking and more time for Padel- eating healthy on the move. Confessions of a Padel Addict: Fueling the Machine
I’ve always tried to live by the 80/20 rule when it comes to food.
Eighty percent of the time, I want to nourish my body with the right things: clean protein, colorful vegetables, healthy fats, and the right balance of carbs. The kind of food that makes you feel strong, energized, and ready to perform.
The other twenty percent?
Absolutely give me the treat. The cheat meal. A beautiful dinner out. A good glass of wine. A champagne toast. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and food is one of life’s greatest pleasures.
For me, healthy living has never been about restriction. It’s about balance.
As an athlete, and as someone who pushes her body hard with training, padel, work, travel, and building 6 Love Sports, I know how important it is to fuel properly. Food is energy. Recovery. Performance. Mood. Health. Longevity.

And yet… lately, I’ve been failing myself.
Life has become so busy that I barely have time to think about eating, let alone prepare those beautiful balanced salads with grilled protein, healthy grains, fresh vegetables, and all the nutrients my body needs.
Instead, it’s been months of snacking on unhealthy options, grazing from charcuterie boards at league nights and events, grabbing rushed meals on the go from local restaurants, and eating what is convenient rather than what is right.
All the things I know I shouldn’t be doing.
And slowly, you feel it.
Your energy dips.
Recovery takes longer.
Your body feels inflamed.
Your performance suffers.
And mentally, you know you’re not showing up as your best self.
Recently, I was introduced to AthleticsFit, a local Miami company that prepares delicious, healthy, balanced meals and delivers them straight to your door every few days.
Honestly, it has changed my life.
I don’t have to think about it anymore. I simply grab a healthy meal, warm it up, and trust that I am in very good hands, that I’m giving my body the nourishment it needs, even when life is moving at full speed.
My husband loves their meals too, which is always a good sign. I recently tried their granola bars, which were delicious, and their ginger lemon power juice shots, which are probably the best I’ve ever had: fresh, vibrant, and packed with goodness.
I have found that AthleticsFit is a really incredible option, especially for those of us juggling kids, work, training, and padel, of course. It doesn’t have to replace every meal, but even if it’s just a couple of healthy meals a week, it can completely change how you feel.

Because when life gets busy, health is often the first thing we sacrifice.
And really, it should be the thing we protect most.
Fuel your body. Enjoy your treats. Drink the champagne. Live your life. But most of the time, put premium fuel in the machine.
