Coaching in padel is something I’ve come to see not just as a job, but as a deeply personal art—one that’s constantly evolving. My own journey as a coach has been shaped by every lesson I’ve given, every player I’ve worked with, and every coach and mentor I’ve learned from along the way.
Early on, I realized that coaching isn’t a one-size-fits-all endeavor. Players come to the court with different personalities, different goals, and different ways of learning. Some crave technical details and love breaking down the mechanics. Others need broader, more tactical guidance to understand the flow of the game. That’s why I’ve learned to adapt—not just my lesson plans, but my entire coaching style—to meet people where they are.
There’s nothing more rewarding to me than seeing someone walk off the court beaming, telling me it was the best lesson they’ve had. That smile—that feeling of joy, confidence, and progress—is everything. It reminds me why I do this.
Over time, I’ve come to understand that coaching padel is far more than teaching technique. It’s about connection. It’s about knowing when to challenge and when to cheer. It’s about being empathetic, but also setting the bar high. That balance—between support and expectation, between discipline and fun—is what defines a truly effective coach.
Every player teaches me something new. They challenge me to be better, to stay curious, and to always look for new ways to explain, motivate, and inspire. And as much as I teach others, coaching has taught me just as much—about leadership, patience, resilience, and the incredible power of sport to transform people.
Padel is often called a game of chess on the court—and I believe coaching is similar. Every decision matters. Every lesson is a new puzzle. And as coaches, we have the responsibility—and the privilege—of helping our players see the bigger picture: when to play the safe shot, when to take the risk, and how to grow not just as athletes, but as thinkers of the game.
What makes a great padel coach isn’t how well they play—it’s how well they see you. How well they understand what you need to thrive. That’s the kind of coach I strive to be every day. One who listens. One who adapts. And one who celebrates every single step of progress with you.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about padel. It’s about connection, growth, and joy. And there’s nothing better than sharing that journey—one lesson at a time.
